Automatic dispatch
Dispatch in which the system assigns bookings to drivers using rules such as distance, vehicle category and priority, without a dispatcher choosing each driver.
In automatic dispatch, the software assigns each booking to a driver using rules: distance or time to pickup, vehicle category, driver or fleet priority, and zone. Dispatchers watch the board and step in only for exceptions.
Good dispatch software lets you combine automatic rules with manual control, so dispatchers can override any assignment.
