Taxi dispatch software for South-East Europe

Taxi operators in Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania and Greece run on eCabs Technologies. Taxi Fiume in Rijeka and Volt in Sofia switched from legacy systems, and Blue in Bucharest and Taxi.gr in Athens launched on the platform, each with local payments, languages and regulation.

Built around local rules

Fiscal rules for taxis differ by country, and they are changing. Croatia has required fiscalised taxi receipts since 2013, and its Fiskalizacija 2.0 reform extends fiscalisation from 2026, including e-invoices between businesses. Greece requires card terminals in taxis linked to tax reporting. Bulgaria and Romania require fiscal devices connected to the tax authority. We map your country’s requirements in discovery, before anything goes live.

Associations and co-operatives

Many operators in the region are associations with a shared phone number and many owner-drivers. The staged switch is designed for that: dispatchers first, then drivers in small groups, with your current system as the fallback until the members decide to cut over.

Your migration blueprint

Every stage is a decision, not a date.

An adaptable framework, set out in a blueprint built around your operation. Our team leads the work, each stage ends with a joint review, and dates are agreed after discovery.

In their words

eCabs Technologies does much more than provide us with software. Their team takes the time to understand our operation, guides us towards the right solutions and remains closely involved whenever we need support. We feel confident working with them as we modernise Taxi Fiume and prepare for further growth.

FAQ

Questions operators ask

Which fiscal rules apply to our taxis?

It depends on your country and city. Germany requires a TSE fiscal unit on taximeters, Croatia fiscalises every consumer receipt from 2026, and Bulgaria, Romania and Greece each have their own requirements. We map your exact requirements in discovery, before anything goes live.

Can we switch dispatch systems without disrupting our operation?

That is what the plan is built around. Your current system keeps running underneath every stage until you decide to cut over, so phones, bookings and drivers always have a working system.

Will our drivers accept a new app?

Drivers are brought across in small groups with training and a clear support contact, starting with a pilot group, and the driver app runs on an ordinary smartphone. Issues from each group are fixed before the next group moves.

Can we bring our customers and booking history with us?

Yes. We import the customer, account, address, booking-history, driver, vehicle, zone and tariff data you can lawfully and practically export from your current system, and check its quality and gaps before anything goes live.
