Checklist
Migration readiness checklist
Before you change taxi dispatch system, check six areas: your operation today, your current system and data, integrations, people, money and decision rules. This checklist lists the questions to answer first, so discovery is faster and nothing important surprises you.
Use this checklist before you start talking to vendors. Every item you can answer now saves time in discovery; every item you cannot answer is something to find out first.
Your operation today
- How many vehicles, drivers and dispatchers do you have, and how many trips a month?
- Which share of bookings comes by phone, app, web, corporate accounts and partners?
- What happens at your busiest hour, and how are exceptions resolved?
- Which ride types have special rules: airport, large vehicles, corporate, patient transport, school runs?
Your current system
- Which data can you export (customers, addresses, accounts, booking history, drivers, vehicles, zones, tariffs), and in what format?
- What do your contract and notice period say about leaving and about your data?
- Which channels depend on the vendor, such as a shared app or the phone system?
- Which hardware is in the cars, and who owns it?
Integrations
- Taximeters and fiscal devices in use
- Payment providers and card terminals
- Accounting and ERP exports
- Phone numbers, call routing and any automated phone booking
People
- Who leads the switch internally, and who is your IT lead?
- Which dispatchers and drivers would join a pilot?
- In which languages do training and support materials need to be?
Money
- How are cash, card, corporate invoices and driver payouts reconciled today?
- What is your budget over three years, including setup and migration?
Decisions
- What must be true before a pilot starts?
- What would make you pause a stage?
- Who takes the go/no-go decision at each stage, and for a co-operative, how do members approve it?
When you have worked through the list, talk to us about your operation. We will go through it with you and your IT lead.
