Switching
What switching dispatch systems really costs
Switching to eCabs Technologies costs the published platform fee plus a fee per completed trip, from €600 a month plus €0.10 per trip, plus setup and migration services that are scoped and quoted after discovery. Payment processing is charged separately by your provider. For 8,000 trips a month, the platform costs €2,039 a month, or €73,404 over three years.
What makes up the cost
| Cost | How it works |
|---|---|
| Platform | Monthly fee plus a fee per completed trip, set by your monthly volume. Published prices. |
| Setup and migration | Configuration, data migration, integrations and training, scoped in discovery and quoted before you commit. |
| Payment processing | Charged by your payment provider, such as Adyen or Revolut. Card payment functionality itself is included. |
| Hosting | Cloud hosting on Google Cloud, scoped during onboarding; it may be billed separately depending on the deployment. |
| Hardware | The driver app runs on ordinary smartphones. Taximeters and card terminals depend on your market. |
| Parallel running | Your current system stays live until cutover, so plan for its contract overlapping the switch. |
| Your team’s time | Dispatcher training, pilot reviews and your IT lead’s time during discovery and setup. |
A worked example
An operator completing 8,000 trips a month is on the Professional plan: €999 a month plus €0.13 per trip, which is €2,039 a month, €0.25 per trip all-in, or €73,404 in platform fees over three years. See every plan, in five currencies, on our pricing page.
What you can stop paying for
Compare against what you pay today: licences, per-vehicle fees, server hosting and maintenance, radio or terminal hardware and repairs, and any fees for a shared consumer app.
FAQ
Questions operators ask
What does it cost to switch dispatch systems?
The running cost is the published platform fee plus a fee per completed trip, from €600 a month plus €0.10 per trip. Setup and migration services depend on your systems and data, so they are scoped and quoted after discovery, before you commit. Payment processing fees are charged separately by your payment provider.
How long does a switch from a legacy system take?
Dates are set after a short discovery stage, once we have seen your system, data and integrations. The switch then runs in stages, and each stage ends with a joint go/no-go review where you decide to advance, adjust or pause.
