Switching
Two systems, side by side, where it makes sense
Where it is appropriate, your current system and eCabs Technologies run in parallel during the migration. Before the pilot we agree exactly which bookings and drivers each system handles, how availability is shared and what the fallback is at each stage, to prevent trips from being duplicated or missed.
How work is split
The pilot starts with a small group of drivers and known customers. The rest of the operation stays on your current system. As each group proves itself, more drivers, accounts and booking channels move across, and channels are not assumed to move together.
What is monitored
- Dispatch load and completed rides
- Missed bookings and cancellations
- ETA accuracy
- Customer contacts and support requests
- Payment reconciliation
A concise weekly readiness report shows open issues, technical dependencies and the next decision.
A documented fallback at every stage
Every stage has decision gates and a documented fallback, including the limits of any rollback. Your current system keeps running for the agreed fallback period after the public launch, and you decide whether it then stays read-only or is retired.
FAQ
Questions operators ask
How do we avoid double bookings while two systems run?
Before the pilot, we agree exactly which bookings and which drivers each system handles, how availability is shared, and what the fallback and escalation steps are at each stage.
What happens if the pilot does not go well?
You pause or adjust. Readiness criteria are agreed before each stage, and if one is not met the next stage does not start. Your current system is still running, so the operation is never left without a fallback.
Can we switch dispatch systems without disrupting our operation?
That is what the plan is built around. Your current system keeps running underneath every stage until you decide to cut over, so phones, bookings and drivers always have a working system.
