TaxiCaller alternatives for taxi operators
Operators usually look for TaxiCaller alternatives when a self-service setup no longer fits: established fleets and taxi centrals that want a guided switch, their own branded apps or support for local rules. The main alternatives to TaxiCaller are eCabs Technologies, iCabbi, Autocab, TaxiDex and Onde.

Why do operators look for a TaxiCaller alternative?
TaxiCaller is a self-service cloud dispatch system. The operator sets it up, pricing starts from about US$28 per vehicle per month (according to GetApp), and there is a free trial. For small and mid-size fleets that want to start quickly, that model works well. When operators search for TaxiCaller competitors, the reasons usually come from their own situation rather than from the product:
- A larger operation. A fleet of 25 or more vehicles, or a central with many owner-drivers and account customers, may prefer a managed switch with a pilot to setting everything up in-house.
- Pricing model. Per-vehicle pricing follows the size of your fleet. Some operators prefer pricing tied to completed trips; others prefer the opposite. Which works out better depends on how busy each vehicle is.
- Local rules. Taximeter links, fiscal requirements such as the German TSE, fixed prices within municipal tariff corridors and patient-transport billing all differ by market. Check what each system supports where you operate.
- Your own brand. Operators who want customers to book through an app in their own name should ask each vendor how branded apps are delivered and who owns the listing.
Which TaxiCaller alternatives should you consider?
1. eCabs Technologies
Dispatch and ride-hailing software built for and run on eCabs’ own taxi operation in Malta, which has competed with Bolt since 2017 and with Uber since 2022. It includes a dispatch portal with unlimited dispatcher seats, a driver app, an operator-branded passenger app, phone and AI booking, corporate accounts, open APIs and webhooks, and taximeter and German TSE integration. References include Taxi Fiume (Croatia), Volt (Bulgaria) and TaxiNow (Frankfurt).
- Best for: established operators and centrals of 25+ vehicles moving off a current system.
- Pricing: From €600 a month plus €0.10 per completed trip on Starter (up to 5,000 trips a month); Professional and Growth plans above, custom Enterprise+ over 30,000 trips. Also published in Swiss francs; unlimited dispatcher seats. No free trial; a migration consultation and technical session instead.
- Switching approach: Eight stages with go/no-go gates, from discovery and a pilot to cutover. Your current system keeps running until you decide to cut over; dates agreed after discovery.
2. iCabbi
A Dublin-based dispatch provider, majority-owned by RCI Bank and Services (Renault group) since 2018.
- Best for: operators mainly in the UK, Ireland or North America who want a large provider with a long customer list in those markets.
- Pricing: per active driver; not published.
- Switching approach: an implementation and migration team, with parallel testing before go-live.
3. Autocab
A long-established UK booking and dispatch provider, owned by Uber since April 2021. It serves the UK and US and runs the iGo job-sharing marketplace.
- Best for: UK operators who want access to the iGo job-sharing network.
- Pricing: not published.
- Switching approach: ask Autocab directly.
4. TaxiDex
A newer dispatch provider, founded in 2020, with published per-driver pricing and a migration offer aimed at fleets leaving Autocab or iCabbi.
- Best for: operators who want the lowest per-driver price and a fixed two-week migration.
- Pricing: £7–11 per driver per month.
- Switching approach: a 14-day migration protocol with rollback.
5. Onde
White-label taxi and ride-hailing apps for local taxi businesses and ride-hailing start-ups worldwide.
- Best for: launching a small ride-hailing start-up with a low monthly fee.
- Pricing: a one-off fee from $4,500 plus $99 a month and a revenue share.
- Switching approach: migration in about two weeks.

When is TaxiCaller still the better choice?
If you run a small fleet and want to set up dispatch yourself in a day, with a free trial and per-vehicle pricing, TaxiCaller may suit you better than any of the alternatives above.
How should you choose a TaxiCaller alternative?
- Data export. Can you export customers, saved addresses, corporate accounts, booking history, drivers, vehicles, zones and tariffs? Ask the new vendor to review a real sample export before anything is imported.
- Parallel running. Can your current system keep running while drivers and accounts move across in groups, so you only cut over when you are ready?
- Integrations. Check taximeters, fiscal units such as the German TSE, card terminals, accounting exports (for example DATEV or SAP Business One), phone numbers and call routing.
- Own-brand app. Will your passenger app carry your brand, and who owns the app store listing and the customer data?
- Pricing transparency. Are prices published? What drives the bill: vehicles, active drivers, completed trips or a revenue share? Are dispatcher seats limited?
