RooRides demonstrates how a white label rideshare platform can be deployed, launched and supported thousands of kilometres from its home market. Based in Esperance, Western Australia, RooRides launched as a locally owned rideshare service built to deliver the convenience and user experience riders expect from today’s leading mobility apps. For eTL it was more than another market launch. It validated that operators can launch, onboard and scale on the platform regardless of geography, distance or time zone.

The challenge: launching on the other side of the world

Launching a mobility platform on the opposite side of the world brought a unique set of challenges:

  • Significant geographical distance and multiple time zones
  • A new regulatory environment
  • A brand new mobility brand to create
  • Driver onboarding from scratch
  • Remote implementation and training

The challenge was not simply deploying technology. It was proving that a repeatable international launch model could work anywhere in the world.
